Big Blue vient d’annoncer deux nouvelles offres System x mono-processeur dans ce sens : les System x3100 M4 et x3250 M4.

Quantum offers deduplication appliance for small businesses

Quantum unveiled a backup appliance for $5,139 that offers smaller businesses 8TB of capacity and data deduplication capabilities typically reserved for its higher end hardware.

The Quantum NDX-8d NAS (network-attached storage) appliance can reduce storage requirements by up to 90 percent, according to the company.

IBM pushes its cloud services to the midmarket

LG-Ericsson SBG-1000 Offers Office-in-a-box for Small Business

LG-Ericsson’s new iPECS SBG-1000 is a SIP-based system for smaller businesses (up to 24 users) that incorporates voice, data and wireless services all in one box. Unlike some competing all-in-one solutions for very small businesses, the SBG-1000 includes voicemail and auto attendant, license-activated applications, SIP trunking, a WiFi antenna and DECT base station, Gigabit WAN connections, LAN ports with built-in PoE, an embedded file server/print server and Web-based administration.

Facebook to offer free ads to small businesses

Advertising has long been the lifeblood of Facebook, and now, the company is hoping small businesses will also find use for its ad platform, a new report claims.

Facebook is looking to partner with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) to inform small businesses on the value of Facebook advertising, and educate them on why they should buy spots on the site, the Wall Street Journal is reporting. According to the Journal, Facebook plans to announce the agreement today.
