FIVB executive vice-presidents in charge of beach volleyball

1_dr.graca“As the President of the South American Volleyball Confederation, I have agreed to take the responsibilities of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Commission with the determination to spread and magnify the Beach Volleyball around the world.

The Continental Cup was created to give opportunities to all National Federations of all the Continents, regardless of size or financial ability, so that they can participate with their best athletes.

The success of the Continental Cup is inevitable and consequently the beginning of the climbing toward the enhancement of Beach Volleyball, which with its numerous competitions, will bring together more participants, thus contributing to global diffusion of Volleyball worldwide, not only Beach Volleyball.”

FIVB Executive Vice President and CSV President, Dr. Graça

mr.araujo“The Olympics are the highlight for any athlete and in previous years it has been reserved for only a select number of countries that regularly compete on the FIVB Beach Volleyball SWATCH World Tour. However the Beach Volleyball Continental Cup has changed all that, allowing nations to properly compete for a spot at London 2012. We are serious about expanding the sport of Beach Volleyball and it is initiatives such as the Continental Cup that we need to nurture and continue to grow, giving countries and athletes the necessary platform to develop themselves, making Beach Volleyball as a whole forever stronger.”

FIVB Executive Vice President, Mr. Araujo
